Arsenal are keen to further strengthen their squad this summer as they look to continue their progression under Mikel Arteta ahead of the new season.
The Gunners have improved each campaign under the tenure of their former midfielder and that is partly due to their shrewd activity in the transfer market under him.
In addition, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and David Raya (loan) also arrived during the same window as the Gunners spent big after missing out on the English top flight title.
The club haven't been shy in splashing the cash recently to try and fight the might of Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League, and with an injection of Champions League money, they are set to splurge on transfers this summer once again.

Arsenal urged to sign Saka cover
Lauren reckons Arsenal need to sign a winger to provide cover and competition for Bukayo Saka.
"It would be good to have another player there (for Saka). The competitiveness is great but it's also about giving him some rest," he said via MyBettingSites.co.uk.
"You play for the national team, you play in the league, you play in the Champions League, you play FA Cup, you play so many competitions this year. So you need maybe another player so that Saka can have some rest. You have players in the squad who can play on the right in place of Saka. It's more about how Arteta will design the whole season in order to give the right games so as to get the best out of Saka and also give him rest."

What Arteta wants from new players
Mikel Arteta previously detailed what he wants from new recruits.
“First of all they have to love the game, and someone that loves winning, and after we’re gonna start with the rest,” he explained. “They need to love the club, so they need to be willing to join us for the right reasons, and then characters that can complement what we already have and provide what we don’t have.
“If we need more leadership, we need to go and recruit players with certain experience or certain skills. We have to think about those players, how they are going to fit in in the dressing room, what kind of groups are we going to create within the team, which is really important, and the role of that player.
“Is that player capable of delivering the role, whether it is to be a captain, or more of a finisher, or a sub or someone who is going to bond the team? There’s a lot of roles within a team.”

Gabriel Jesus to stay and fight for place
Gabriel Jesus has no intention of leaving Arsenal this summer.
The Brazilian lost his place as the starting centre-forward to Kai Havertz in the second half of last season and was subsequently linked with a move away, with Saudi Pro League clubs reportedly interested.
However, Jesus wants to stay and fight for his place which has earned the admiration of Mikel Arteta. (Mirror)
